HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY BETHEL!(i will be typing my posts in accurate english as much as possible, because english prelims is next week!)Bethelites celebrated Bethel's 50th anniversary on Sunday. It was held at Raffles City Convention Centre. It felt as if we were at church camp, though everyone was dressed to their nines.I went in Royal Rangers uniform, and so did the commanders.I felt proud in the uniform, because Royal Rangers is part of Bethel's heritage. It started way back in the 1970s.I really didn't feel it was a "sad thing" to be in uniform while everyone was in their formal attire, because I think Rangers uniform looks great!Anyway, service was the first part of the program.Rev Seaward preached, and it was really a good message. We had salvations/re-dedications.God was so good.Rev Seaward was talking about all the leaders who used to be from Bethel. It really showed how much God has blessed Bethel,by producing countless of fantastic spiritual leaders.City Harvest's Rev Kong Hee was present. It was kind of funny to hear him thanking Bethel. The way he put it across sounded as if without Bethel, there would not be City Harvest. But it is truly amazing how God moves. The person whose life you are touching right now,may touch thousands of lives in years to come. So, never belittle what God can do through your life.God IS truly amazing.Anyway, after 50th anniversary,my cousins and I went for laserquest. It was a wonderful time spent with them!We screamed, laughed and perspired. It wasn't just the game, but the bonding. After which we went to Commander San Ho's house for DTC meeting. We went just in time for prayer and dismissal.haha.I asked Norman, and found out nothing much was discussed,so it didn't really matter. And it's time for pictures! =)
