reminisce
Recently (or rather, yesterday), i 'met' this old pal on friendster.i just looking at the people who viewed my profile, when i saw his name.ding wei.i got so excited suddenly, and started shouting for my mum to view his profile together.haha.and later in the day,i started to think through the past, when we were such close friends.i remembered how when we were young,we used to attend school together.we were together in the PAP kindergarten near hong wen.that was in nursery.our mums were good friends, and so we always had chances to meet up.nearing the middle of our nursery year,our parents decided to change our schools.so then we attended this kindergarten at jalan besar together.we always walked there together, and back home.the same route everyday. (except when there isn't school, duh.)we liked our new school, and started making friends.i remember the teacher as someone very friendly.mrs iforgothersurname. so then as young kids, we'd always want to please our teachers.and when we received praises, we'd be so delighted.we attended the second session.there was once when the teacher was teaching about racial harmony day.she drew 4 people in their ethnic costumes.they were really pretty.and it isn't easy, considering it was drawn on the whiteboard.ding wei and i always liked to help the teacher clean the board after her lessons with the first session kids.and for that day, we did the same.initially i was hesitant, because the drawings were really pretty.but ding wei started to clean the board, and so did i.and as you guessed it, the teacher shouted at us to stop.i was so shocked, i started crying.and seconds later, i was heading for the door and searching for my mum.but i was stopped by all the aunties at the doorway,watching the commotion.a short while later, my mum realised she forgot to leave my waterbottle with me, and she headed back.that was when she found out about the commotion.but she wanted me to be independent and learn from my mistakes,so she quietly passed the bottle to my teacher without my realisation.when ding wei and i finally calmed down,my teacher explained that she appreciates our effort in helping her,but when unsure of stuff (like, whether to clean the board when we see such nice drawings),we should always approach her to clarify.things were fine, but i got angry with ding wei for "making" me clean the board.well, it wasn't his fault, but as a young child, i saw it as his fault for getting me into trouble.and he got angry with me cos i was angry with him.haha.and as we walked home that day, we didn't talk.i even told my mum to take a different route.when he heard me, he told his mum the same thing.our mothers knew something was wrong,and made us apologise to each other.haha.and then we were alright already.as we grew up, we started talking less to each other.we still attended the same primary school.but because my family moved house,there were no longer chances for us to walk to school, or back home anymore.furthermore, we were in different classes,and had friends of our own.and as young kids,you wouldn't want to be seen as good friends with the opposite gender.because then people would make jokes about you two being together.like," XXX and AAAA sitting on the tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g."haha.yeah.so with that sort of childish reasons,our friendship drifted apart.which was why the following incident surprised me.we were in P3, i think.i was queueing up for food, when this guy cut my queue.i didn't know what to do, so i let him have his way.but ding wei saw it, and he came and said,don't f**k you lah.so i asked him what he meant.(that was the first time i ever heard that word.)he just said, i told the guy not to cut queue.*i later found out that cos the two terms sound the same,people like to use the vulgar one to replace the other.and when i got home, i told my dad what happened.he went hysterical.haha.and told me never to say the word again.though he didnt say it was a vulgar word.haha.yeah.but after that incident, we seldom talk anymore.though our mums are still close friends.so every now and then, i'd visit their hokkien mee stall at beach road.you know the army marktet there?ya.their stall is there.i still think they sell the best hokkien mee ever.haha.

hah,people actually commented on how i seem to have lost weight.i was like, WHAT?i look like i did??haha.mummy cooked some yummylicious fried rice.with fried egg!okay, that doesn't sound very healthy, but it isn't oily.REALLY!thank you paula, for the sms (:i really appreciate it.because i know you once said you don't feel comfortable talking to your members about such topics.thanks (:so sorry serene!cos the little boy is coming over tonight.if any of you have anything to say about me, do so in front of me.whether is it to sincerely clarify something, or just being a kpo,i'd gladly clarify your doubts.bitching behind my back just makes me realise you are even more childish than i thought you to be.

cny?
CNY nowadays really don't feel like CNY.the festive mood is gone, as compared to when we were young.
haha.
because for my paternal side, it feels like another family gathering, since we have so many of those.
haha.
for my maternal side, let's just say i went there only because i wanted to see my grandma (:
i didn't bring my camera along,
so not much pictures.
haha.

anyway, we didn't break our cny tradition.

edina and i teamed up, cos she had to leave early.
and guess what?
we won!

at the end of the game, i had like 7000+ dollars,
and that is not inclusive of our other assets and properties.
PLUS, i gave like 60% discount to those who landed on our hotels.
it was ultra shiok-ness.
haha.
i learnt new terms this new year!

my cousin, her mum, taught her that is is rude to scold people stupid.
so she and kk came up with the term, s-tupid.

whose princess? (:
haha. what's up with blogger.it's been communicating with me in chinese ever since i added chinese language to my computer.oh well. at least it makes me read chinese.i went amk hub with my parents last night.my dad had to get a pair of pants for cny, and i've yet to get a new bag.and we both got what we wanted.haha.i bought this teal little hand bag.it was 39bucks.but there was 50% discount.haha.shiokness.my dad got his pants.but he found it too long, so he asked for alteration.mummy is gonna collect the pants for him later.i saw ms suan and ms toh.haha. they were at the ntuc.yes, the huge one.we bought a new computer table.it's a really mini one.the old one looks okay, but some of the ends have come off.plus it's really really huge.so we got a smaller one.oh, and you know. at the entrance of the huge ntuc, they have a poster about shoplifting.they showed a student shoplifting.my dad was like, why are they stereotyping youngsters?you can go sue you know?then i just went, er..okay. i didnt know what to say cos that was ultra random.haha.went to meet noi today.the owner of mynt.serene and i bought necklaces from her online.she's a really really nice girl.i transferred money to her, cos she was supposed to mail the necklaces to me.she found out i'm planning to wear for cny, and she said she'll try to get the necklaces to me in the shortest time possible.but when she went to singpost, she was told it would take 3-5 days.plus it's cny period, so there's the risk of losing the mail.so instead, she took time out to meet me, despite being busy at work attachment, so i can get my necklaces in time.AND she wasnt intending to charge more for postage.such a sweet darling (:mynt-shop.livejournal.comgo visit kay (:cos the necklaces are really pretty.
mine is 12bucks, and serene's is 15.
i really do wanna see serene's necklace.
but, haha, it's still in the package.
things i noticed on the train:
- people are more eager to give up seats these days to others who need it more than they do.
which is a good sign!
-however, there are still some who pretend to fish out their phones, or fall asleep when elderly walks in.
-i've got this interesting thought: i know it's only polite of us to give up our seats to the elderly. but is it insulting to them? because for all we know, they may think of themselves as healthy and strong, and need not have us giving our seats up to them.
-another thought: what if you see a lady with a bulge, yet you can't determine whether or not she's pregnant? if you give your seat up to her, and she's not pregnant, that'd be embarrassing. not so much of yourself, but the lady.
-oh, and i saw this very old couple who's uber sweet. they're like in their seventies. frail and all, but lean on each other for support. they held hands and all. soooooooo sweet.
what the heck.
blogger is forcing me to "upgrade" my account to the google one.
and everything is in chinese!!!

(:and i've been eating alot of them as well.haha.i better stop before there are none left.after going to the market with my mum the past 2 weeks, i've reached a few conclusions.-trolleys should be banned.-children and animals should be banned as well.-to boost your ego, you should always make a trip to the market with your mum.-aunties will always be aunties.-bargaining is fun, fun, fun!!and i've seen a true double-decker bus lover on sunday.i alighted from bus80, and was waiting for 43/70/76 when i noticed this mother and son in the bus stop.they were creating quite a commotion, and after a while, i understood what made the mum so angry.the little boy insisted on taking a double-decker bus.however, (i overheard the mum) the buses that actually go to their place are all non-double-decker.quite cute uh.haha.which reminded me of ivana straight away.cos she and her group of friends call themselves the double-deckies. haha.randomness:LAUGH OUT LOUD says:

hello.yes, O level results gotten.i'm okay with it lah. yup.but if i'd wanted to let you know my results, i'd have told you.yeah, so if i havent told you, please don't ask (:but really, i'm alright. haha.REALLY! (:ooo.i've finally gotten my bma.haha.thank God.marching.singing.dancing.and enrolment service is over.it's already TWO OH OH SEVEN FEB!i'm looking forward to CNY.JC or POLY or NIE?i really do needa pray.

hi everyone.it's red fonts again!haha. i'm like, crazy about red STILL.just reached home.went AMK Hub with my mummy!before that, we went to aunty jane's place to pass her clarabel's stuff.i miss her like crazy.haha.and she called me, EH, JIE JIE!haha, so sweet.anyway, about AMK Hub.that place is huge.i mean, the NTUC is whoa!i got the same feeling i got when i first stepped into the Hougang Point NTUC, which used to be the biggest NTUC in Singapore.but this NTUC is really huge. i mean like, REALLY.it's almost like GIANT. the stuff sold there, i mean.mummy bought:-a new frying pan-a new cordless kettle-a trolley-pyjamas for ryan-pyjamas for clarabel-gift set for chu xian's newborn baby (:yeah.and the shops are not bad.i thought their shops would be those lok-kok shops.but no, they have nice stuff there (:i bought a new dress. hee.i'll keep it for new year.but the thing is, i have one extra set.so i'm kind of tempted to wear one of the sets.and i bought my new year shoes already!it's a pair of patent chilli-red pointed kitten heels.CNY day1: the sleeveless beige collared dress with tiny polka dots and big buttons + black belt.CNY day2: a dark purple low v-necked dress with white tube top + black belt.CNY day3: either the low v-necked flowery top with grey tube top + jeans, or a red off-shoulder 3/4 top + black/bronze belt + knee-length black pants with subtle stripes.all these plus my RED shoes, of course. (:i'm super satisfied -smiles gleefully.i still need to look for a bag though.and i haven't come across any nice charm necklaces.seems like this year's clothes are all kind of retro-type.hmmm.okay.haha.lebbillie, i read your blog and you said you gave up looking for a dress for cny.GO AMK HUB!there are tons of dresses.and it's very reasonable pricing, really.well, if you're reading this, and going, "what on earth is this girl thinking? her results are coming out on friday, and here she is talking about the new pieces in her wardrobe."haha, i'm alright with you people thinking this way.i've spent enough months worrying about it.and this is the final week.i'm not gonna think about it till thursday night.cos no point worrying.i can't plan my life.God's the planner of my life.whatever He gives, i'll accept, albeit unwillingly if it's bad results.oh well (:like i said, no point worrying.i just gotta keep trusting Him no matter where He leads!EUGENIA! you should have come with us today. haha.
