prayer meeting and service were awesome.
what we prayed during prayer meeting,
psnelson shared in the service.
i just wanna say THANK YOU to zihui, joselyn and joel.
whatever you guys said to me and prayed with me at the altar,
they all link up to what God has been speaking to me through the week.
and yes.
i've been trying my best to stay strong.
i don't want my friends to worry, neither do i want my parents to worry.
fact is, i refuse to face up to what i've been feeling.
it felt so good to lay them all before God.
the crying was different though.
during the week, i cried because i was feeling dejected, disappointed, unwilling to let go.
but this time, it's sort of a surrendering my all kind of thing.
cos i know my future's in Your Hands, all of my hopes and dreams and plans. You give me strength to live, and faith to succeed.i believe in You,because You believe in me.i know i'm meant for greater things, and i'm not gonna let the devil tell me otherwise.
because if my God is for me, then who shall be against me?
i just finished watching Facing Your Giants.
it's a fantabulous show.
as the song says,
i am Yours and Yours alone, completely.it's only when we begin to surrender our ALL to God can He move us beyond where we are.
and it's never easy.
nobody said life was gonna be a bed of roses.
like what psnelson said,
the enemy of "best" is "good".
i no longer wanna settle for what's good.
everyone can do that, as long as you make a right decision.
but because i have God in my life,
i only wanna settle for what's best.
because my God is a great God, He can give me the best i deserve.
many times we are fearful when we make decisions.
we ask God for signs to show us that we're on the right track.
but look, as Christians, we
live by faith and not by sight.
that is true Christianity.
and the Bible mentioned 365 times, "do not fear."
where faith exists, fear cannot.
remember the sunday school song?
i walk by faith.each step by faith.to live by faith.i put my trust in You.every step i take,is a step of faith.no weapon formed against me shall prosper.every prayer i make,is a prayer of faith.and if my God is for me,then who can be against me? :Danyway, we had a briefing for our mission trip today.
i'm really excited and looking forward to it.
[despite the fact that i'll be gone for 10days.]
and all our preparations will be damn cool too!
next saturday, we'll be hiking 10km at macritchie.
after which we'll be returning to church to do Dutch Oven cooking.
oh, how i miss Dutch Oven food.
they're so yummylicious.
but then again, we're all so hungry in camps, anything tastes good.
HAHA.
we'll be cooking beggar's chicken, claypot rice and cakes to raise funds.
like, OMG lah.
those are what we eat in training camps.
i really miss it.
for a picture of a dutch oven,
click on March 2006.
haha. cos we didn't use Dutch Oven for our TC this year.
for the benefit of those who have no idea what a Dutch Oven is,
according to wikipedia,
A Dutch oven is a thick-walled iron (usually cast iron) cooking pot with a tight-fitting lid. It is commonly referred to as a 'camp oven' in the Australian bush, and a cocotte in French, and is similar to the South African potjie.ahhh. how i miss Rangers Training Camps.
i really look forward to our backpacking trip.
of course, not the forget, the mission trip too.
to reach, to teach, and to keep boys and girls for Jesus Christ.
